Our Projects

Dana Farber Cancer Institute Projects – Boston, MA

In addition to our work within CHB our firm has completed a number of projects within the adjacent Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Dana Farber Cancer Institute Level 3 MRI Suite

This project consisted of the fabrication/installation of structural support framing required to support 2 ¾’’ plates within the ceiling to deflect the magnetic field if the MRI equipment. In addition to the supporting steel we installed (56) individual 2 ¾’’ steel plates weighing over 1,700 lbs each within a fully operation parking garage.

Dana Farber Cancer Institute Rooftop Dunnage and Exhaust Stack Supports

This project consisted of fabricating and installing galvanized rooftop dunnage to support new mechanical equipment. In addition we fabricated and installed custom galvanized 1’’ thick plate supports welded to existing steel in order to support new exhaust ducts running up the side of the building.

In addition to the above mentioned projects at the Children’s Hospital Boston, MIW Corp has also completed the following projects:

• Dana Pediatric Pharmacy Renovations – Fabrication and installation of under deck steel support for new metal deck penetrations.
• Dana Farber Cancer Institute Slab Infill – Fabrication and installation of a metal deck infill at an existing elevator shaft.
